When you join PAGB, you become part of the collective and expert voice representing and promoting the consumer healthcare sector’s interests and reputation.

What we offer our members

We are the only trade association representing the interests of manufacturers of branded OTC medicines, self-care medical devices and food supplements in the UK. Our range of services are designed to assist you in the day to day running of your organisation, while we advocate at a policy level to promote your interests.

Full membership

PAGB full membership is for organisations who manufacture and/or market branded OTC medicines, medical devices or food supplements in the UK.

In 2023, PAGB’s work for members included:

Launching a groundbreaking report quantifying the economic value of the over-the-counter sector, showcasing the current and potential impact of OTC usage in the UK.

Providing evidence at the House of Lords on the Northern Ireland Protocol / Windsor Framework and impact on medicines, self-care medical devices and food supplements.

Securing a national self-care policy which includes seven out of the nine recommendations we called for in our strategy blueprint .

Renewing focus on the vital role reclassification can play in self-care, publishing new guidance, running new training and reinvigorating reclassification by securing a commitment to widen the access of medicines into government policy.
